01 — Narrow services,
Narrow services, done properly
I start companies that do one thing well. Each one began with a specific problem and a standard I wanted to hold.
Husker Grill Cleaning takes grills apart, cleans them properly and checks the gas system. Sleep Sanitation came from a problem at home: my wife is sensitive to mold, and her organic mattress needed a cleaning method that didn't soak it. The American Grill Service Institute gives grill technicians an exam-based standard to prove what they know. And FairlyKnown helps people make sure that when someone searches their name, they find something accurate.
I write about what I've learned — starting a service business in Nebraska, grill care, grill safety, dry vapor mattress cleaning, trade certification, running and reputation.

Four companies, each built around one clear job.
